Frequency domain hydrodynamic analysis of stationary vessels - Wadam
General hydrodynamic analysis program for calculating wave-structure interaction for fixed and floating structures of arbitrary shape
Wadam
Wadam is a general hydrodynamic analysis program for calculating wave-structure interaction for fixed and floating structures of arbitrary shape. The analysis features of the Wadam software module represent state-of-the-art technology and the program is unsurpassed for practical applications. Airy wave theory is applied and results are presented as complex transfer functions or as deterministic results for specified phases of the wave.
What you get
- Wadam uses widely accepted linear frequency domain methods for marine hydrodynamics, the 3D radiation-diffraction theory employing a panel model (created by GeniE) and Morison equation in linearized form employing a beam model (also created by GeniE)
- The structure may comprise any combination of panel model and beams
- Wadam software is executed from HydroD where modelling of the environment is done
- Hydrodynamic loads computed by Wadam are automatically included in the structural analysis
- Computes transfer functions of second order mean wave drift forces and pressure distribution on the hull surface
- Also option for solving the full second-order problem
- Wave/current interaction can be handled for current speeds up to 3-4 knots
- Wadam software requires and is executed from HydroD (stability analysis), where modelling of the environment is done
